It all started in 2005, when one of our ready-mix drivers decorated a truck with thousands of colourful lights for the Village of Cumberland’s Christmas Truck Parade.

Encouraged by the cheers of children and adults alike during the parade, he began touring the Comox Valley with the “Cumberland Ready Mix Christmas Truck,” starting a Comox Valley holiday tradition that’s still going strong.

Today, our Christmas Truck is adorned with more than 13,000 lights and tours the Comox Valley throughout the month of December. We’ll never tire of seeing the wide-eyed young faces pressed against windows as we pass their homes on a cold winter night.
